Our Technical Design and Project Director, Kim Jordan, will celebrate 7 years at Crown this summer. She leads our Design Team on projects across Ireland and Europe.

From initial studies in Architectural Technology at Technological University Dublin, where she wrote her thesis and dissertation on ‘building envelope weathering and performance’, to a post-graduate diploma in Project Management at National College of Ireland and a further degree in Digital Construction, Kim is an expert in external envelope design.

As Project Director on an upcoming data centre project in the United Kingdom, Kim is combining her design and project management skills to ensure everything runs smoothly from the get-go.

Kim says the excitement of seeing a project go from ‘cradle to grave’ is her favourite aspect of her role. With a fast pace of work and continually changing technologies, every day is different and there is always something new to learn.

From her first ever project at Crown, a commercial project in Dublin city centre, where she spent time systems training and on site with suppliers and installers shadowing installation, to one of her current projects, a data centre project in the UK, which she will take from tender to completion for a new client, Kim has finetuned her expertise in both design and management. Indeed, her upcoming data centre project in the UK is earmarked to be a ‘benchmark project’ for the company, for its set up and execution so far.

Over the past 7 years at Crown, Kim has progressed from a technologist to Technical Design Director, thanks to constant hard work and a hunger to learn and grow. She is proud to work with a great team and have a meaningful impact on the AEC industry.

Outside of Crown, Kim’s time is spent with her wife Georgina, her dogs Bonnie and Buddy, and travelling.
