Rares joined Crown in 2011 as a roofing site operative, and has since progressed to become a Site Foreman, a Project Manager and, in 2022, Contracts Manager for High Density Commercial and Residential projects.

Having studied law in his native Romania, Rares made the move to Ireland and pivoted into the construction sector, obtaining a Diploma in Project Management, from The Open College, and a Degree in Construction Management, from Atlantic Technological University, Sligo.

Over the past 12 years at Crown, Rares has managed commercial and residential projects across Ireland. He is very highly regarded by his colleagues at Crown, as well as our customers, thanks to his dedication to excellence across all aspects of the projects he works on. In his current role as Contracts Manager, Rares enjoys managing his site teams, as well as the diverse challenges that come with delivering several, high-profile projects simultaneously, for a range of esteemed customers. Every day is different.

One of Rares’ current projects, 2-4 Wilton, is a high-profile commercial project, delivered in collaboration with John Sisk & Son Ltd for IPUT Real Estate. Providing a built-up bitumen roofing package of approx. 8,000m2, this project is both interesting and challenging for Rares and his team. Sisk stated that they are ‘Overall very satisfied with Crown’s performance on the project” so far, as a result of Rares and his team’s proactivity and system knowledge.

Outside of work, Rares enjoys spending time training in karate and football, as well as enjoying weekends out and about with his wife and son.
